i put words into action so i swam today!
though i’m not a good swimmer, i tried my best.

keeping to the healthy lifestyle regime, me and frens are heading to East Coast for a night run tml.

finally met my dear friend who stays so near to me, for a run.

these are the reasons i’ve decided to ditch the plan to catch up with work tonight.

i used to hang out with my UNI-mates for party & drinks until i joined my current employer.
wont blame it entirely on my employer but work didnt allow me to party hard.
after 2.5yrs, i met up with them again last night for a CNY dinner.
to me, it’s truely a CNY reunion dinner.
in the beginning, it felt strange cuz i almost have absolutely no conversational topics.
guess it will take time to warm up. =)
afterall, i ‘left’ them for 2.5yrs.
the group grew as the yrs went by.
most of which are friend’s friends.
until now i do not even know some of their names.
the girls..
the boys..
all together for a CNY reunion dinner, followed by a boring Lunar.
this time, i’m determined not to ‘lose’ the friendship.
friendship is something that is hard to come by especially for my kinda character who doesnt warm up easily.

on this note, i also wanna say goodbye to a uni-mate who joined GOD on 14 Feb 2010.
she has always been a happy-go-lucky girl.

the simplest pleasure in life can be just a dinner with your family & friends.
lately nothing much worth sharing hence the quietness.

heard that a marketing colleague is attached with a product dev colleague. reminds me of those days.
but they are brave. they are open abt it.
if only mine was open, i wonder how would it be like now.
2. work politics
it got worse. am tired of such. i hear and forget it. do my work. chase my revenue. fight for a promotion.
but politics is tagged along with career advancement. how???
3. promotion
my supervisor hinted chances of promotion for me this FY. i have the next 5 mths to prove that i qualify for a promotion.
4. award
my big product won an award in the asia level. of course happy abt it. a big milestone in my career. maybe this will help to prove my promotion. but hitting target is more important cuz it equates to bonus!
a small celebration was held to appreciate the project team’s effort.
it’s me and my CEO. =)
if one day, he rems my name, i think i’m almost there.
5. Seoul-ing
my Korea trip is confirmed! i’ll be ‘celebrating’ Christmas in winter wonderland Korea in Jan 2010.
the thoughts of wearing my boots/white fluffy jacket/beanie/gloves EXCITES me.
i’ve just bought another trenchcoat to add on to the collection.
Where do i shop for a nicer beanie? hmm…
Numbers/ Maths has always been a challenge for me.

Recently i’ve been chased by numbers for chasing after them. It’s a vicious cycle.
Chasing numbers to hit unrealistic, unreasonable targets. Extremely frustrated with my boss. And so, I decided to take things easy. Just do it.
A friend shed light with me on this situation.
Bosses = adidas “nothing is impossible”
Slaves (me) = Nike “just do it”
So I’ll just do it. So that I will not be held hostage during performance appraisal.
On top of this, instructed to prepare next yr’s target with this yr’s as the baseline!
Note: I’m already not hitting this yr’s numbers.
It’s time. For new challenges. Aimless chase of numbers will take me nowhere.
Time to make full use of all the training programs available.
For today, I shall enjoy myself by the poolside with my magazine.
