was thankful to be given tickets to Lee Min Ho’s Meet the fans event.
wanted to find out what exactly they have planned for a meet-the-fans event.
i was totally aloof to the event until he appeared right in front of me (i’m seated on the 2nd row to stage)

he’s truely CUTE.
utterly sharp features that i find it ‘painful’ to see cuz i’m jealous!

wonderful height for a man.
perfect for woman to lean on (when seated)

seeing him up close & personal took my breath away for that split second.
oh.. did i also mention that his manager is equally suave?
almost as tall as him.
almost the same built as him.
i have to admit that my attention was split for a moment. hehehe..

waking up to a special day yet i didnt feel special nor excited on this very special day.
note: i repeated ’special’ 3 times
usually, i do.

went to work as usual.
dressed in a supposedly “old school” style..

:: arriving at work ::
i was greeted with an Agnes B paper bag & a big A4 note tat shouts the names of the ppl whom i find pain working with & “Happy Birthday”

as i walked out of office for break, a delivery man carries a bouquet of lilies and stares at me.
“i’m looking for Miss Angie Ong”
Popeye sends me loveee from a far far away land. *grin*

:: meetings. clearing htmls. clearing wireframes. 3 hrs conference call. *ouch!* ::

boss pulls me into her cube for discussion.
then somehow dragged me into the meeting room.
My team was in there for cake-cutting surprise for May birthday babies.
heads over to Bar Stop for a drink. just a drink. very disciplined.

throughout the day, i rec’d many well wishes..
some of which are surprising.

i was thankful for all my friends who made time to rush from work & gathered at Bar Stop for a celebration. They even ‘adhere’ to the theme!

i feel as though i just flew back today.
sleeping alone isnt that bad (come on, i also sleep alone at home wat!)

aircon, big bed, good pillows and a LCD TV.
what else do you need?

i’m summoned to stay in a hotel for the next 2 nights and so, i’ve selected Value Hotel.

all for the little green monster.

random thoughts: i think staying with in-laws is a painful thing.

flew 12hrs to arrive at Brisbane, Australia.
almost killed myself, should have taken a direct flight.

anyway, upon transitting at sydney, i was already smiling from ear to ear!
so you can imagine that i was almost screaming and jumping upon arrival at Brisbane!!

it has been 5 days since i’m here.
days are short. too short for my comfort cuz in SG, days are DARN long (due to work)
nights are too long. just wayyyyy too long. especially there’s nothing to do.
everybody simply sits around, watching their PC. youtube, movie, drama and watever nonsense.

it’s the 3rd hen party within the span of 1 yr.

maybe in the next 1 yr, there will be baby showers?

anyway, we’ve gotten a good lobang at The Sentosa Resort! it was gorgeous..
5 ladies check into the room, jumping & screaming just like the Heineken ad (if u dun know, watch this video)

bloody spacious!! well, we were lucky that they upgraded us.
so we’ve got 2 room joined with a hallway & a ‘living room’
now you can imagine how and why we were jumping & screaming!!!

Yup. This is the decided theme for Lolli’s birthday!

How did she decide?
1. she cant take birthday leave due to work.
2. she also got nowhere to go and nobody to accompany her if she goes on birthday leave.
3. since she’s gonna be at work where she spent most of her time with colleagues, she thought of giving her colleagues a present.

weird right? instead of getting a present for herself, she’s giving out presents.

do you remember those younger (much younger) days where we all bring sweets or sorts to give out to the whole class??
yup, she derived the idea from here.

so… wat are the old school snacks???

We’ve got jello, lollipops (chupa chups are expensive stuff back then), m&ms, biscuits and sweets that melts in your mouth not in your hands!

now these are all nicely stuffed into party bags!!

Tom & Jerry is another old school cartoon which Lolli grew up with.
With these, she has completed 3/4 of the theme :: Old School

The remaining 1/4 is to dress in Old School style on her birthday.
Quite tough though cuz work doesnt really allow.

3 long weeks of holiday in australia is probably the longest holiday i’ve ever been.
but i think i need the long break.

pretty excited at the thoughts of it.
though i still have 3 mths more.

i’ve got no idea abt australia.
i dun know where i wanna visit.
i only know half my heart is there. Pls dun break that half.
tearing my heart apart is already quite bad.
breaking it would be ………..

secretly, i wanna visit Gold Coast where the beaches are.
but it’s winter by the time i’m there.

set breakfast includes hot chocolate, crossiant, orange juice + toast.
some cafes charge 6E, some 9E for it.

katy perry, duffy, akon and pussycat dolls (PCD) flew in to attend a music award.
miss PCD at majestic hotel when i went toilet. STUPID.

i’ve nvr been this excited abt going home after a trip.
i’m counting down this time.

i’m sitting in this apartment alone. writing my travel report for submission.
no appetite > my half eaten fillet-o-fish.

this’s probably my 1st fillet burger since 2008. not a fan of fast food.

i’m soooo blessed to be able to go for a music conference in France, Cannes!
it’s my FIRST trip to:
- an angmoh country
- experience cold weather

some asked if i’m excited!
worry supercedes excitement due to the cold weather..
it’s abt 9 degrees now.
i’m the sort who’s afraid of cold. =(
so pray that the weather will turn a little warmer by the time i arrive.

but i’m excited abt visiting the place.. judging from the internet photos.
there are sidewalk cafes, nice architectures and romantic ppl?
French mah..
have to try their bread.. particularly french loaf?!? heheh..
not a fan of pasta so leh.. i hope there are other nice food

i’m all packed. with watever i can, to wrap myself like ba zhang.
also equipped with food, bars & shopping guide!!!
i’ve got to control, control & control my expenditure.. provided my boss (whom i gg with) will not go shopping-spree la!!

Looks like 2009 is gonna be an exciting year from what i can see now..
1. my 2 big projects will be launching soon.
2. Biz trip to Cannes, France and HongKong (Jun 09)
3. Holiday trip to Australia (May 09)

it’s another year where i’ll be spending even more time on work!
right now, i’ve got to complete some work for coming wk before i jet off!
