Family Roadtrip – Muar
Posted by Lolli on Monday Jun 21, 2010 Under Daily Activities<19 – 20 June 2010>
Muar is a itsy bitsy teeny weeny town in Malaysia.
it’s about 2hrs drive from SG.
Uncle bought a semi-D so the entire family travelled to warm up the house. it was definitely bigger than any of those HDB that we stayed in.
anyway, Muar is so tiny that they only have 3 hotels in the city with ONE shopping centre that has only 3 levels.
Thank goodness that i managed to do my manicure & pedicure + 2 pairs of shoes!
the long awaited muar bah kut teh on Sunday morning.

they operated by the roadside.
it was crowded with ppl even though they have 2 shops to themselves.
old school teapot used for, at least 5 yrs?? or more??

one thing i forgot to do, is to snap a pic of the bah kut teh claypot. full of pig stuff from bah kut to intestines to liver to mushrooms to dao kee. it’s missing golden mushroom.
Otak is supposedly to be very famous from Muar.
tried 2 otaks from different sellers.
hmm.. different from our SG ones.
it’s more fish and less spicy.
in short, i didnt really think that it was WOW. (that’s why no photos)
was the 1st roadtrip for my ONG family since a long long time ago.
the last one was abt 20 yrs ago whereby we went on a cruise together.
