tonight’s topic = frenship

wat’s frenship to you?
everybody has their own set of explanation/meaning to this word.

frenship is a very special relationship.
at least to Lolli, it is.

some have many frens.
some have few frens.
some have a clique of buddies.

but sometimes, some finds it irritating/tedious/tiring to always be the one who initates gathering/outing.
are u in such a position?

some envy those who have a group of buddies.
buddies who hang out once a week for dinner/drinks/chill-out.
are u one of them who has a group of buddies?
or are u one of those who envies?

do u realise sometimes it’s more carefree to hang out with frens rather than with partners?
hmm… wrong. this shldnt be the case.
let me post another question.

what are the criterias of acknowledging somebody as a fren?
1. chemistry?
2. able to relate to each other when it comes to a common topic?
3. been through feng feng yu yu with u?

ponder. wonder.

do u find difficulty in maintaining frenship?
especially with those whom u juz know..
sometimes i even have problems bonding with new frens. =S

how abt platonic frenship?
does it really exist?
how does it start?
can frenship between 1 man & 1 woman start if they juz knew each other?
some reject this.
some accept this.
some neutral.

i guess most reject this idea.
for me, i observe ppl around me & their new-found frens of the opp. sex
more than often, the 2 become closer due to 2 reasons:
1. guy likes the girl & vice versa
2. one of them juz wanted to b frens & nothing more so take the chance to know the other one more.
when the hard truth is out in the open, the so-called ‘frenship’ ends with a full stop or simply …………..

but i seriously think that platonic frenship is possible if things (frenship) starts during sch days.
ok.. i’m getting bored talking abt platonic frenship.

Lolli’s thoughts on frenship:

1. frens are always there for you whatever happens. unlike your love partner.
there’s a saying – frenship is a circle, it goes on & on. love is a heart, it breaks.

2. treasures frenship pretty much. tries to maintain all the frenships though work breaks me away.

3. my girlfrens. they ROCK! we can do the quiet stuff, the noisy stuff, the intellectual stuff, arty-farty stuff & blah blah blah together.
quiet – visiting library, lazing by the poolside
noisy – become dancing queens & brandy drinkers
intellectual – is playing pictionary, scrabble considered? share ideas on work related issues.
arty-farty – watch concerts, plays & branded circus (err.. but i nvr joined them.. hee)
dinners & shopping are by default.

4. my uni-mates. went thr lotsa shitty lectures & exams together which bonds us together. studied hard together & ALWAYS party hard together too! each party session is confirmed, guaranteed & chopped, fun, fun, fun & super high? drunk? oops!
the next party session is coming up real soon… this fri!! 3 mar. =p

5. some individuals whom i share common interests, lingo & chemistry. they are definitely not forgotten.

6. sometimes we expect a lot from frens. sometimes frens expect a lot from us. most impt, speak up as frens, true frens, will listen & understand.
